one silly thing about being an illustrator is that over time you accumulate mass amounts of unfinished/abandoned pieces. this was the background for an illustration that i could never get to work, but i kind of like it on its own.

Sadly this did not end up getting published but I am fond of it nonetheless. It was done in response to a really obnoxious political cartoon in USA Today that showed Lady Liberty heading towards Paris with an automatic weapon. I thought this was a more appropriate sentiment.
